Arcticfox Commodore 64 C64 Electronic Arts Dynamix 1986 Big Box Complete Disk

Arcticfox

Arcticfox is a first person 3D tank simulation designed by Dynamix and published by Electronic Arts in 1986, the follow up to Damon Slye and Richard Hicks' Stellar 7. Alien invaders have landed in Antarctica and are plotting the extinction of the human race. You alone infiltrate the frigid enemy territory in the Arcticfox, the most advanced terrain vehicle of its kind: a 37 ton tank so powerful that even heavily armored aliens look like dead meat in her gunsights. From the cockpit you control all her weaponry, the 150mm cannon, guided missiles with an onboard camera view, and two mine dispensers, with forward and aft views and radar to track scout patrols, fighters and the alien fortresses. Knock out the Communications Fortress and you have a fighting chance; find and destroy the Main Fortress and the invasion ends. The frozen wasteland itself is fully 3D, mountains, ridges and crevices included, with blizzards that can put you in the deep freeze. This copy is the Commodore 64 and 128 version in the original Electronic Arts album folder package, with the mission briefing and the Arcticfox blueprint specs printed inside.
