Battle Chess Collection (1994) — Big Box PC CD-ROM, Partial Seal

About the game: Published by Interplay in 1994, Interplay's Complete Battle Chess Collection gathers four award winning chess classics on CD-ROM, including the animated Battle Chess (1988), Battle Chess II: Chinese Chess and Battle Chess 4000. It matters because Battle Chess was famous for its humorous animated battles that turned every capture into a cartoon fight, and the collection preserved Interplay's chess catalog for the CD-ROM era. Trivia: the box promises "four award winning chess classics" in one package.
