Close Combat Trilogy PC CD-ROM Microsoft WINDOWS 3 War Games BIG BOX

Close Combat Trilogy (1999) — PC CD-ROM, Microsoft Windows, Big Box

About the game: A 1999 Microsoft compilation of the first three Atomic Games real time tactical WWII games: Close Combat (1996, Operation Cobra), Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far (1997, Operation Market Garden), and Close Combat III: The Russian Front (1998, Eastern Front). The series is famous for modeling soldiers' psychological and physical states (panicked, pinned, berserk) rather than abstract health bars. Trivia: Close Combat began as a computer adaptation of Avalon Hill's Advanced Squad Leader board game; the first three entries were among the very few games ever published by Microsoft.
