DEO GRATIAS (1998) - BIG BOX PC GAME - FRANCAIS

DEO GRATIAS (1998) — Big Box PC Game, French

About the game: An obscure French god game for Windows by Cryo Networks, designed by Francois Froideval and published by Cryo Interactive Entertainment (co produced with France Telecom Multimedia), copyright 1998. The player incarnates a Demiurge, a divine being that generates planets from the void and peoples them with races whose civilizations grow under the player's care; worship feeds the player's divine power and unlocks new powers. Rival Demiurges threaten the player's dominion and must be confronted in individual combat, and the game supported online conflict in a shared 'Multiverse' for up to around one hundred players. Note: one French database lists the retail release as 1999; the 1998 date matches the manual copyright and the listing, and the box should be checked to confirm.
