Emperor: Battle For Dune (2001) - PC Big Box Game

Emperor: Battle For Dune (2001) — PC Big Box

About the game: The third Dune real time strategy game from Westwood Studios, published by EA Games and released June 12, 2001, a direct sequel to Dune 2000. Set in Frank Herbert's Dune universe, Houses Atreides, Harkonnen and Ordos fight for control of Arrakis and its spice, now rendered in full 3D for the first time in the series, with Westwood's trademark live action FMV cutscenes. It matters because Dune II defined the modern RTS genre, and this entry closed out Westwood's Dune RTS line before the studio was absorbed. Trivia: it was the first fully 3D real time strategy game released under the Westwood brand for the PC.
