Frank Herberts Dune PC CD-ROM FR Edition Small Box Widescreen Games Cryo 2001

Frank Herbert's Dune (PC CD-ROM, 2001)

He who controls the Spice controls the universe! Frank Herbert's Dune is the 3D action adventure game from Widescreen Games, published by Cryo Interactive in 2001, based on the Frank Herbert's Dune TV miniseries. Widescreen Games was founded by members of the team behind hits like Outcast, Mission: Impossible and Prisoner of Ice.

In the year 10191, House Atreides and House Harkonnen are locked in a bloody battle for control of the sand planet Arrakis, better known as Dune. Two Atreides survive the massacre organized by Baron Harkonnen with the support of the Emperor: Jessica, the Duke's concubine, and Paul, his son and heir to the throne.

During the two years you will spend among the Fremen, you, Paul, will have to win their trust and prove your courage to become their Messiah, Muad'dib. Explore Dune, use the Weirding Way to fight the Sardaukar and ride the sandworms, sabotage the harvesters and use the prescience of the Spice to harass the Harkonnens. Infiltration and stealth alone will let you strike the enemy and prepare the Fremen for their final attack, and their ultimate fight for independence.

The first action adventure game in the Dune universe, where infiltration and the Voice will be your main allies, with a cutting edge 3D production: extremely detailed real time 3D environments, dynamic lighting and particle effects, and a multi channel animation system.
