Hostage: Rescue Mission (1989) — Commodore 64/128 Big Box, Mindscape, CIB
About the game: Hostage: Rescue Mission is a 1989 tactical shooter for the Commodore 64, developed by Infogrames (as Hostages, 1988) and published in North America by Mindscape. You command a six-man counterterrorist team storming a Paris embassy, mixing side-view infiltration with first-person shooting, and it is widely regarded as a forerunner of Rainbow Six. Designed by Philippe Agripnidis, it appeared on more than a dozen platforms, and this is the US Mindscape big box release.
