Microsoft MS-DOS 6.0 Upgrade Big Box Sealed Operating System PC Vintage

Microsoft MS-DOS 6.0, released in 1993, was the version Microsoft sold on the promise on this box: "The easy way to double your disk." Its headline feature was DoubleSpace, integrated disk compression that could roughly double a hard drive's capacity, backed by a full toolkit that defined the last years of DOS: MemMaker for automatic memory optimization, Microsoft Anti-Virus for DOS and Windows, an improved Backup, Undelete with three levels of delete protection, and a defragmenter. Version 6 also added multiple configuration startup menus and interactive start, letting users pick their CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT setup at boot. This is the retail Upgrade package, which installs over MS-DOS version 2.11 or later, and it contains the 3.5 inch high density disk set plus the coupon for low density disks.
