Navcom 6 The Persian Gulf Defense PC DOS Small Box Sealed Cosmi Naval Simulation

Navcom 6: The Persian Gulf Defense is a naval combat simulation designed by Paul Norman and first released by Cosmi in 1988 for DOS and the Commodore 64. This copy is the 1993 Celery Software edition, Cosmi's own budget label, in its fully licensed 3.5 inch disk release for IBM PC, Tandy and compatibles. There is trouble in the Persian Gulf and the Naval Command 6th fleet is awaiting battle at its appointed stations, with you in charge of the Weapons Control Center aboard a US Navy warship. Across its missions you escort oil tankers through the treacherous straits of Hormuz, detect and destroy the explosive mines scattered through the shipping lanes, and defend against high speed boat raids, before facing the enemy main strike force of surface ships, submarines and incoming jet aircraft. Animated maps plot the action while two radar scopes track contacts at long and close range, and every mission asks for the same judgment a real commanding officer would need.
