Renegade: Battle for Jacob's Star (1994, PC CD-ROM) — SSI Big Box, Factory Sealed
About the game: Renegade: Battle for Jacob's Star is a space combat simulator developed by Midnight Software and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc. (SSI) in 1994 for IBM CD-ROM. Set in FASA's Renegade Legion universe, it puts the player in first-person starfighter combat, commanding a squadron of Renegade fighters against a Terran Overlord Government invasion force. Unlike the earlier turn-based Renegade Legion: Interceptor adaptation, this entry is a real-time dogfighting simulator in the style of the era's leading space combat games.
