Robert E. Lee Civil War General Big Box PC Sierra Impressions Complete 1996

Robert E. Lee: Civil War General, designed and developed by Impressions and published by Sierra On-Line in 1996, is a hex based turn based wargame in the tradition of Panzer General, rebuilt around the American Civil War. A campaign mode strings together six of Lee's most critical battles, and every historical battle, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, the Wilderness and more, can also be fought on its own as either the North or the South, ending with a fictional final battle for Washington. The presentation set it apart in 1996: cover and in game art by Civil War painter Mort Künstler, whose work hangs in the Gettysburg Museum, live action battle footage shot by re-enactment filmmaker Jay Wertz, a multimedia encyclopedia of the war, period music, digital sound and professional voice acting. Head to head play runs over a modem or a serial link.
