Sid Meier's Pirates! (1987) Commodore 64/128, Boxed with Disk and Manual, MicroProse
The first game to carry Sid Meier's name, and the one that started it all. Sail the 17th century Caribbean as a privateer: fence, trade, hunt buried treasure, raid Spanish towns, court governors' daughters and retire in glory or disgrace. Its open ended design was decades ahead of its time and the Commodore 64 original is where the legend began.
