Sons of Liberty Big Box IBM PC SSI 1988 Revolutionary War Complete 5.25

Sons of Liberty is Strategic Simulations' wargame of the American Revolutionary War, designed by George Kucera, David Landrey and Chuck Kroegel, the team behind Gettysburg: The Turning Point and Shiloh: Grant's Trial in the West. It takes the Gettysburg system and improves it for the stiff lines and columns of the Revolution. Three complete battles are included, each growing in complexity and scale: Bunker Hill, the small sharp first major battle of the war; Monmouth, where Washington's winter hardened veterans held the army together against the British; and Saratoga, the largest of the three and the turning point that convinced France to declare war on England. Every battle plays under Introductory, Intermediate or Advanced rules, and in solitaire the computer can direct either side, both, or neither. Playing time runs 3 to 12 hours.
