Strategy First Battle Pak 2001 — Steel Beasts, Sudden Strike, WWII Online Blitzkrieg, PC, big box
About the game: Strategy First's Battle Pak bundles three of its flagship military strategy titles in one box. Steel Beasts, developed by eSim Games and released in 2000, is a highly accurate tank simulation covering the US M1A1 Abrams and the German Leopard 2A4, playable from gunner to company commander over LAN and the Internet in cooperative and competitive modes. Sudden Strike, developed by Russia's Fireglow and published in North America by Strategy First in 2001, is a World War II real time tactics game with Russian, German, British, French and American forces, dropping resource gathering and base building in favor of pure tactical command of up to 1,000 units per mission. WWII Online Blitzkrieg, from Playnet and released in 2001, is an online persistent massively multiplayer battlefield combining air, ground and sea combat in 1940s Europe; note that it originally required a paid online subscription through Playnet.
