About the game: Strike Commander is a combat flight simulator designed by Chris Roberts, creator of Wing Commander, and released by Origin Systems for MS-DOS in 1993, published by Electronic Arts. Built on Origin's RealSpace engine with Gouraud shading and texture-mapped 3D terrain, it was famous for pushing contemporary PCs to their limits, while its mercenary-pilot storyline played out through cinematic cutscenes, earning it the nickname "Privateer on Earth."
