TFX: Tactical Fighter Experiment, 1993, IBM PC CD ROM, big box edition

About the game: TFX (Tactical Fighter Experiment) is a 1993 combat flight simulator developed by Digital Image Design and published by Ocean Software for MS DOS. You fly as a United Nations pilot across five geopolitical theatres (Colombia, Somalia, Libya, the Balkans and South Georgia), choosing between the Eurofighter 2000, the F117A and the F22, with customizable payloads, an arcade mode, custom missions and a full campaign. Its 3D graphics and realism were far ahead of other home computer simulators of the time, enough to catch the attention of the British and Australian military, and it helped define the standards of the modern combat flight simulator alongside Tornado and the Falcon series.
