The Dragon Slayer Asghan • Big Box PC Game Boxed Windows 98/95 - French Français

Asghan, The Dragon Slayer (1998) — PC Big Box, French

About the game: A 1998 hack and slash action role playing game developed by Silmarils, the French studio behind the Ishar series, and published in France by Grolier Interactive (with Ubi Soft handling other territories). Players take the role of Asghan, a warrior prince who swears to avenge his father's death at the claws of dragons, as the evil sorcerer Morghan drives the invasion of the land of Brightmoon. The game blends Tomb Raider style physical puzzles (running, jumping, climbing, swimming) with spellcasting and combat across roughly 30 locations and more than 60 enemy types, from dragon dungeons to a witch's cavern. It was praised for the smooth mix of action and RPG elements, though reviewers noted the awkward controls.
