Zaxxon: 1983, Atari 400/800 5.25" floppy disk, DataSoft edition

About the game: Zaxxon is the official 1983 home computer port of Sega's 1982 arcade classic, published by DataSoft for the Atari 400/800. It was the first game to use axonometric projection, simulating three dimensions from an isometric viewpoint, and one of the first to render shadows so you could judge your ship's altitude. You pilot your fighter through the enemy's floating fortress and fighter fleet, managing fuel and dodging fire, on your way to a final showdown with the deadly armored robot.
